La locuzione “fare domande” si traduce di norma con to ask questions, non con to make questions: I asked them some questions, gli feci qualche domanda (non, letteralmente, I made some questions to them). Il verbo to make viene associato al sostantivo questions soltanto quando ci si riferisce alla costruzione della domanda dal punto di vista grammaticale: To make a question, you use the auxiliary “to do”, per costruire una domanda si usa l'ausiliare “to do”.
